At last,  a book has emerged which describes what water diviners actually do and how you can acquire the skills involved.

John Baker has brilliantly set out the mental processes by which this can be achieved and which you can learn from.

He has over 30 years in ‘the business’.

In a way, how we go about dowsing/divining is how we think.  Some modern trends such as computerisation and AI  risk reducing us to gibbering idiots. Some commentators even link these to the rise of dementia.

So, whilst we still have working brains, let’s use them. Like the London taxi drivers who have to learn 20,000 routes and locations before they can drive a black cab.

Although water divining is the best known version of dowsing, it is a very broad church. John, for example, learnt his trade by working on amateur archaeological sites.

This book deals with the more practical sides of the subject.

If you can find water even hundreds of metres below ground, you can find ANYTHING. For water diviners, it’s looking for a good bore hole site for farmers, underground pipes, leaking pipes,’ lost’ wells, underground springs, even central heating problems. That’s just for starters!
